I saw a sign on the 6th floor that read something like this... "You don't throw away a life just because it is banged up a little." I would like those of you reading this to ponder that for a moment in your own way and in your own time. Is anyone irredeemable? If I thought that I wouldn't be putting my time and energy into this cause. With the mental health cutbacks in North Carolina and most likely in other area's of the United States, my hope is that SEASCAT will take off in a major way. Thanks for reading.

http://www.seascat.org/?q=node/17#comments Mon, 22 Jun 2009 04:28:25 +0000 Darren Veach 17 at http://www.seascat.org recommended YouTube videos- http://www.seascat.org/?q=node/15

Please see the SEASCAT group on Care2 to view some of the YouTube videos that I found most informative.

http://www.care2.com/c2c/group/SEASCAT
Connie

http://www.seascat.org/?q=node/15#comments Thu, 14 May 2009 09:01:55 +0000 adminddtpm 15 at http://www.seascat.org Antipsychotic medication and the treatment of disorders caused by abuse- http://www.seascat.org/?q=node/9
Over the span of 2 decades, I've been an advocate, a consumer, and/or a professional in the field of mental health. This post is based on observation more then research, though some of this was considered common knowledge back when I worked in the field.

http://www.seascat.org/?q=node/9#comments Fri, 24 Apr 2009 00:46:51 +0000 Niemac 9 at http://www.seascat.org The role of seascat- http://www.seascat.org/?q=node/6
These days NAMI and ARC are common terms, quite familiar to people in the 'helping professions'. (Well, maybe not...

Fri, 17 Apr 2009 00:18:38 +0000 Niemac 6 at http://www.seascat.org Welcome to SEASCAT "SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT for ADULT SURVIVORS of CHILD ABUSE and TRAUMA" http://www.seascat.org/?q=node/1

Due to spam, all people signing up with bogus information will be subject to be bounced.
